Pathetic Trump Already Trying to Weasel Out of Debating Biden
After agreeing to two debates with Biden, Donald Trump seems to be trying to set up an excuse to escape the whole thing.
https://newrepublic.com/post/181613/trump-escape-biden-debate
"SNIP.............
Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that I hereby accept debating Crooked Joe Biden on FoxNews. The date will be Wednesday, October 2nd. The Hosts will be Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Wednesday afternoon.
Trumps campaign had announced that it had accepted an invitation from CNN to debate Biden on June 27as well as a second invite for a debate moderated by ABC on September 10. Biden, who had previously accepted an invitation from CNN, also agreed to take part in ABC Newss debate as well. But Trumps post seems to indicate that the former president is trying to alter the agreement on his own. Bidens campaign accused him of playing games.
Donald Trump has a long history of playing games with debates: complaining about the rules, breaking those rules, pulling out at the last minute, or not showing up at allwhich hes done repeatedly in all three cycles hes run for president, said Bidens reelection campaign chair, Jen OMalley Dillon, in a statement.
President Biden made his terms clear for two one-on-one debates, and Donald Trump accepted those terms. No more games. No more chaos, no more debate about debates. Well see Donald Trump on June 27th in Atlantaif he shows up, Dillion added.
.............SNIP"
Thanks to my cousin for the suggestion.

(17,528 posts)And this is just Day 1, ladies and gentlemen. Let the chaos commence.

(119,426 posts)And when Biden refuses, Trump will back out of the already agreed to June and September debates.

(9,097 posts)I would debate Trump, considering his past performances and behavior, is to have two sound proof chambers like the old game shows, and microphones that can be turned off at the instant their time has elapsed. It is not enough to just have the microphone turned off, Trump will continue bellering across the stage in a loud voice, talking over Biden, and yelling his comments.....and wandering around the stage to keep his carcass in view of the camera behind Biden like he did with Hillary.
There should be straightforward questions about serious issues..........Biden can answer the questions seriously.
Trump, will do the normal Republican reply, which in no way addresses the question, but just takes off blabbering about some major Republican Bullshit talking point that has absolutely nothing to do with the question..............
Of course, the only way you could get the Trump Humpers to view the debate is if you made it into something like a WWE wrestling event, or a tractor pull with Trump driving a huge mega Tractor and Biden driving a riding lawn mower......
Of course, all of this back and forth run up to the debates just serves as yet another diversion to looking at serious issues by the Republican owned/operated main stream media...
The Republican Party is like watching one of those old time cartoons with a clown car......................which appeals to most of his voters intellectually..................
The founding fathers failed us by not requiring an IQ of over 90 to vote, and a potential voter displaying the ability to read above the third grade level as a prerequisite to being able to vote........Although I know many Republican Voters that have college degrees, some of them Master's degrees, that have absolutely no knowledge of Civics or the nation's history.
If you ask them even the most simple question about our government they are left dumbfounded ...Like how many members of the US House are there, and how is that number determined.... Most can't even tell you how many members there are in the US Senate and how that number is determined/allocated......It's like when a reporter asked President WBush what are the three branches of the U.S. government and he couldn't answer the question...............seriously.............
