Trump team channeling vintage Addams Family
Trying to chill by watching watching circa 1964 'The Addams Family in Court' (Season 1, episode 21, 13 minutes) and its deja vu all over again! "Attorney" Gomez "Loophole" Addams defends Grandmama on a charge of fortune telling, which he calls a "trumped up charge." Gomez declares Grandmama as "the victim of this outrageous miscarriage of justice." The judge questions Gomez' objection to his own witness taking the oath, so Gomez explains "It cramps her style." Gomez declares, "I shall ignore the prejudice, intimidation, and irregularities of this entire farce and caution you that no matter what the verdict is, I shall appeal!" Morticia Addams takes over the defense, "Your honor, one look at the accused should convince you that she is as innocent as a newborn babe." The judge replies, "Madame, I've seen more innocent looks on Murder Inc", [vintage slang for the enforcement wing of organized crime]. Sadly, in the end, the judge's wife, looking a lot like Ginny Thomas, uses her influence to get the guilty party off the hook. So, no, this episode did not get my mind off the Trump trial.
