"The Polls" have become a collective entity seemingly unmoved when it comes to Joe Biden. That's impossible, but there it is.
I'm interested to hear impressions from democrats in the battleground states about what is developing there regarding the campaign, and whether you think the polls are accurate or not. It just seems funny that no matter what, there's a cluster of polls that never move, while others are all over the place. Are you seeing ads, yard signs, bumper stickers, television and radio coverage? Is Biden getting his fair share or is Trump, Trump, Trump in the news the big deal?
My job has involved making a couple of drives across the countryside in Michigan and Wisconsin, places in rural areas billed as "Trump Country," where his flags and banners and signs were all over the place in 2020. But in Western Michigan two weeks ago, and in Southern Wisconsin this week, I only saw two of Trump's flags, and one lone yard sign. I hear it's similar in Arizona, either people just don't do that anymore like they did four years ago, or the signs aren't there because the support's not there.

(19,420 posts)Trump and Biden close to tied in MI. Biden leads in Wisconsin and PA.
I am here in West Michigan, the Trump flags are few and far between. And I drove the the UP last Fall and saw almost zero.
Biden will win Michigan comfortably IMO. Just no momentum for Trump here at all and the Dems in charge of the state are geting a ton done for working people.

(3,981 posts)there were some Biden signs and banners, actually in Kalamazoo. Nothing for Trump between Kalamazoo and Allegan. A few Biden signs, most of what I saw were the Biden-Harris stickers on cars. And there were television ads during the morning and evening newscasts.

(95,308 posts)...the race has been and remains close; just like the Biden campaign said it would be.

(9,940 posts)I don't see many signs of any sort here in the Philadelphia 'burbs. There are a few Trumps that have been up since 2020, but no new ones. About a month ago I took a ride through the boondocks, normally a forest of Trump signs including the big ones, but saw nothing. Bumper stickers, haven't seen a one. Recent Inquirer article mentioning that black turnout could be a problem in the city. There needs to be a big surplus of urban blue turnout to offset the fact that most of the state is red.
The signs are not a warning to me yet (they were in 2016), but the number of people who just blame Biden for everything is not encouraging. I personally know of no one who claims to be undecided, they either hate Trump or they don't. I doubt there's much that can change that. As inexplicable as I may find it, I think it will be very close in this state.

(6,213 posts)The few other Trump supporters with flags from last year no longer have anything that shows they once supported Trump.

(400 posts)I just hope Biden gets people out to vote in blue areas, if he does, he will take PA, if he slacks in this, it sadly will be Trumps.
right now, I can't say who is winning in PA.

(12,932 posts)if the abortion amendment makes the ballot (likely), it should keep Biden in play.
Also, many people hate Scary Lake.
