ONE WEEK AGO TODAY: We were expecting a 5 minute photo-op, if we were lucky. Instead, @POTUS took almost a FULL HOUR to give us a detailed, comprehensive tour of the Oval Office & surrounding areas. He was so generous with his time, telling stories about his childhood, his children, his early days in politics & the current issues he feels most passionate about to improve the lives of all Americans. He was everything you wanted him to be & MORE: personable, relatable & funny with the dignity, kindness & empathy that makes him the exact President we need at this point in time. Thank you @JoeBiden- it was an incredible day we'll never forget!

Real people in high positions remember their humanity.

After the Gridiron Dinner the year when my dad was President, and Hillary couldn’t make it, she scheduled a five minute meeting at the White House with my parents so she could meet them. After five minutes, an aide came in to remind her that the five minutes were up. She told the aide that she was having a “wonderful time with these people (i.e. my mom and dad), and was not to be disturbed for the next half hour.”

Democrats are often like that, Joe Biden included.
