(16,048 posts)No. There is nothing that says he cant sleep only he has to be physically there.

You really think a medical professional is going to equate that to being unfit to stand trial? lol, no.
This stuff just makes me laugh sometimes....

(42,796 posts)Big embarrassment for the judge. Ammunition for Trump to use against him. Judges dont order psych evaluations on a whim.

Another tweeter equated napping to cognitive decline. We're often no less susceptible to hyperbolic silliness than the other side.

(11,656 posts)Its all about him but he can't spout bullshit whenever he wants. He's never been forced to sit quietly for hours and listen to others speak or even pretend to have an interest out of decorum. A skill every fucking 5th grader learns in school.

(2,235 posts)the power to disengage and show disrespect by snoozing. Throw in the likelihood that his lawyers have him somewhat sedated just to keep him out of jail for contempt, and... ZZZZZZzzzz will happen.
And we know he's up all night, then used to sleeping til nearly noon. The court schedule has interrupted his sleep schedule and there is nothing he can do about it; no 'executive' time when he needs sleep. The court sets the clock. He is powerless beyond just zoning out.
It would be counterproductive for the judge to order any kind of evaluation. Delays are all his defense teams have in any of the cases he is facing. No point playing into their hands.

(25,285 posts)delay tactic? Is he looking for the Judge to order a medical evaluation to see if he's fit to be in court - in order for him to get a decision that says he doesn't need to be there?

(70,280 posts)that doesnt take long. it can b done outside court hours. it wont delay anything.
his physical health shd b examined as well, but not sure the court can order that. i dont like putting a sick old man on trial, even if it is tsf.
