Nick Ackerman is critical of Ari Melber's interview with Avenatti

IMO Melber deserved to be on the hot seat.

Nick Akerman is critical of Ari Melber's interview with Avenatti.

"I wouldn't take his word on any of those two things! He knows NOTHING about this case... he's not a witness in this case!"

He adds that "no reasonable district attorney" would ever put Avenatti on the stand.

Huh? No he wasn't. Are you confusing him with Michael Cohen? W_HAMILTON Apr 2024 #4
of course he was and is. do you know why he's in jail? NoRethugFriends Apr 2024 #12
Yes, I do, which is why I know he wasn't around when Stormy Daniels was being paid off before the 2016 election. W_HAMILTON Apr 2024 #15
Sounds like an Ari fuckup. Oh well, still one of the better hosts on MSNBC. OAITW r.2.0 Apr 2024 #3

Avenatti came around after the fact to promote himself using the publicity around the hush money that had already been paid to Stormy Daniels -- he was NOT around when the payoff was actually paid out by Michael COHEN.

Love his guests, generally, and I am OK with giving a culture I don't relate to, time to share their thoughts. If Ari captures a segment of the population that we need to defeat Trump....why not?

Keep wondering what need he is feeding by having some of the most vile people who are not really relevant to any given news on any given day. It's almost looking a little like narcissist attention seeking. Using these kinds of 'guests' does not advance the viewers' knowledge of issues.

As in the old days with Chris Matthews, when Ari comes on now, MSNBC goes off in my house. My time is more important that listening to a bunch of whiners and losers. I tune back in when it's Joy o'clock.

Ari is one of mine, while Joy and Maddow not so much. Each show every night is basically covering the same stories the two or three shows before them just covered, so for the network it seems like they put out hosts with different styles so we, the viewers, can choose and watch our favorites.
Enjoy Joy all you like, because after Ari's show, I'm off MSNBC until Lawrence comes on a few hours later.

I make a point of catching his show when I can. I’ve come to the realization that no show host on msnbc is safe from the DU slings and arrows. To quote Greg in Over The Garden Wall, “Ain’t that just the way?”

I don’t have it handy, but I did record it, there was a handover from his show to Meet the Press (this was a few years ago). Someone served him coffee and you could see that person’s hands.

Ari was a total dickhead about it! Sarcastically telling him off, to the person serving him a coffee no less. I did like how Katie Tur told Ari to “be nice”, it didn’t matter that that happened, he should still be nicer and more gracious about it.

Was one of those where if he hadn’t said anything, I wouldn’t have even noticed, but because he made such a stink, I’ll always think of him as a jerk. I guess the hands in the camera shot did ruin it, but not for the reasons Ari thinks.
