7 House Republicans Reach New Level of Sucking Up to Trump By Introducing Bill to Name DC's Airport After Him

In the race among Republicans to suck up to former President Donald Trump, seven GOP members of Congress are bidding to take the lead.

Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) has introduced a bill — along with six co-sponsors — to rename Washington’s Dulles Airport the “Donald J. Trump International Airport.” Reps. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN), Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Barry Moore (R-AL), Troy Nehls (R-TX), Andy Ogles (R-TN) and Michael Waltz (R-FL) have all signed on.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Reschenthaler made his case for why the airport should be renamed. “In my lifetime, our nation has never been greater than under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump,” Reschenthaler said. “As millions of domestic and international travelers fly through the airport, there is no better symbol of freedom, prosperity and strength than hearing ‘Welcome to Trump International Airport’ as they land on American soil.”

The bill has no shot to pass the Democratic-controlled Senate, but a House vote could potentially force some swing-district GOP members into an awkward show of loyalty to the former president.

Greatest response post this year. Bravo!!
Completely forgot this song. By days end I will be playing it and it’ll be added to all the others I perform and cherish.
My fellow sailers and I on mid night watch in CIC would drink tons of nasty coffee and sing this to the outside lookouts on the M1C.
After 50+ hours of zero bogies on any scope surface or air, ya gotta do something to stay awake in a dark as hell CIC on 12 hour shifts.

All Americans will be required to use Trump as their children’s middle name. The only exception allowable would be “The Donald”.

WTAF is going on? Not that I was a fan of the Dulles brothers.

. . . . it was Washington National Airport back in the Dark Ages. I used to fly the Eastern shuttle once or twice a week. Then wutsizname bought it, slapped his name on everything and promptly caused it to go broke. I switched to AMTRAK and never looked back. The Metroliner literally made it faster, door to door, to take the train than to fly.

Anyway, how 'bout we just go back to Washington National.

This is a stupid stunt by idiot Republicans. Just like them fighting to keep the names of TRAITORS to the United States on military bases like Bragg and Lee.

They claim to "love" the United States, but diminish its reputation at every turn.

Reagan hated DC and we hated him. Naming National after him was an act of pure cynicism and spite, and this stunt is ten times worse.

......than under the presidency of Donald J. Trump. And after the (de facto) presidency of Dick Cheney, that is saying something.

A bigger, more cynical lie than Reschenthaler's shameful statement has rarely been spoken on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. I hope it receives the fierce blowback from Democratic House members that it deserves.

For others, not so much. The USS Jimmy Carter is nuclear-powered submarine, commissioned in 2005.
