Former Trump supporter: It's ok to admit you were conned. If grifting was an art, Donald Trump would be Picasso

Former Trump supporter Chris Nelson has a message for current Trump supporters: It’s ok to admit you were conned. If grifting was an art, Donald Trump would be Picasso… If you were taken by him, don’t feel bad, a lot of people were. It’s ok to admit you were wrong.

Donnie, at best, is like a stage magician where the marks are straight in front and the rest of us have a clear view from the side and can see every trick he's doing. And it's infuriating because we're telling everyone hey, he just switched it out or hey, it's a trick door or whatever and the marks refuse to believe us.

But really, he's just incredibly bad at everything he does, including lying. He's super obvious nearly all the time. The people who believe him simply *want* to be lied to, and they think it's just a fun game to insist that it's the truth. It's the inside joke that proves they're part of the team they think is cool.

and then bribes, flatters and threatens enough influential people to call it a masterpiece that it sells for millions of dollars.

Trump is utterly transparent except to those that want to believe him. But I’m glad some folks are waking from the fever dream.

I think there are a ton of people who just don't want to admit that they were duped. Not the trumpers, but a lot of repubs & others.

Most people can't admit they were conned. Someone here had a quote from Carl Sagan about how rarely it happens, because it's too painful to admit getting played.

more and more people like this guy are coming correct and it'll embolden others to do the same. Fingers crossed it continues....Personally, I don't think they'll vote for Biden but if they don't vote at all that's fine too

But Dwayne in his poverty-stricken small southern 99.9%-trumpers town, who has always hated blacks, wants his woman barefoot and pregnant, and blames the world for his lousy life is not going to give up the one person who GETS HIM. He was not conned, he is finally needed and beloved. The rest of the world is just jealous.

At this point in time, I think all the ones who have sufficient brain cells to question their loyalty have long ago done it. The remaining ones are lost.

Loved how he described the Fat Don! And his take on letting the cult go was kind of heartwarming and hopeful. I hope he keeps getting his message out!

Who painted those big-eye paintings sold at some gas stations.

Intriguing…but not great art.

This looks fake as fuck. The so-called ex-MAGA went right into the talking points about Trump being a grifter. Does he look like a Trump supporter? Lame as hell.

...good critical thinking skills.

Good critical thinking skills are unfortunately rare. Many (perhaps most people even) only reach sensible conclusions by being embedded in a social support system where a few people's good critical thinking influenced the whole of the social group.
