Justice isn't coming.
Trump is going to get with all of it.

(48,285 posts)But no, he does not and will not get away with everything. There will be accountability, but not necessarily in the time or way that we want.

(15,238 posts)More so than yesterday. So were going to be dealing with idiots that are crazier tomorrow than they are today. But we are till going to have to deal with them.
Dems need to start getting creative in whatever way they can!

(36,527 posts)Regardless of what happens to Trump or who wins this fall, tend of millions, maybe hundreds of millions will die and many more will face extreme hardship.
While some here are upset about an overcooked roast creating smoke in the kitchen, a few of us are concerned about the raging, fast approaching forest fire coming over the hills.
Keep things in perspective

(15,238 posts)If Al had been President, we might have had a chance. At least we would have been 24 years ahead of where we are now on climate change.
Im not arguing with you. But there is going to be a lot of suffering before the earth cooks. Id rather have someone at the helm who cares about that as opposed to some crazy asshole who enjoys seeing suffering.

(48,285 posts)if Al Gore had been elected President in 2000. I know we can't blame everything on republicans, but they definitely get the lion's share of the blame. Whenever we try to move forward, they're always pulling us backwards.

(15,238 posts)Because in my opinion its their fault.
Peace.

(48,285 posts)who can't be bothered to pay attention or get involved. They aren't necessarily republicans and there are lots of them. They are not bad people, but through their disinterest, they unwittingly let bad things happen.
If they realized what the stakes are, most of them probably would become engaged, but they are living in their own worlds and don't see the storm coming. At a different time in my life, I likely could be one of them.

(48,285 posts)I've never seen anything quite like it. Such a stupid, careless, mean-spirited man, one would think he would have fallen a long time ago. In his case, it apparently will take longer, but it will be unforgettable, which is important. We absolutely can never forget, because we have so much to lose. At least for one or two generations, hopefully we will not take it for granted again.

Just because Trump is always bragging about being a "winner", we need to remember how often he has been a huge loser. Thanks for pointing that out.

(22,744 posts)gloat & laugh best but with Trump we way too often disregard that kind of advice and to think that what's going to happen to Trump will happen NOW. Wrong!!! The only thing that Trump is the master of is delay, yet the hyperbole of how it's all over for Trump now is rampant.
Realistic people should have seen this coming.

(86,222 posts)...not one of the felony charges against him have been reduced or removed, in any court.
Not even the civil judgement has been reduced, only the bond he has to put up before a dubious appeal.
Get a grip.

(22,744 posts)about just what will happen to Trump and when it will happen. If anything, Trump is the master of delay. No, he is not above the law..., yet, but he certainly does get special treatment that nobody else would never get which makes it seem as though he is above the law.
Beat Trump at the polls in November and then just watch how quickly the worm will turn on him being a loser again.

(4,026 posts)So far, we have indictments reduced, delay, delay, delay, delay, stall, waiting on a Supreme Court ruling on immunity that's never coming, from the most corrupt court in history. When Rush Limbaugh advocated for stuffing our justice system with corrupt, conservative judges who all are appointed for life, he knew conservatives cannot win electoral politics. And so here we are, a broken justice system that is from a completely different part of America than the one in which the rest of us live.
In a system designed to fail to bring any wealthy, powerful or influential person to justice, he's got the advantage. We are powerless.
