(19,411 posts)He inerited over $12 Billion in today's dollars in real estate. He has dozens of shell companies circulating his money and he owns dozens of properties and trade marks.
Once you get to a certain level of wealth, becoming poor is no longer on the table. The truly rich never risk anything other than status and power, wealth is assured.
Even Truth Social is worth a ton to him even though it's still basicall a startup losing money.

(7,524 posts)... he knows he'll never serve a day in an actual prison.
IMO, the worst he'll be subjected to is "house arrest." They'll use the need to protect him with the USSS as an excuse. He wouldn't like that, but if he were still "rich," That could still be a pretty plreasant life. Not so much if he is presiding over a failing business empire.

(10,131 posts)Trump saw money, or the illusion of wealth, as means of entry to the elite demographic class he obsessively covets. When mere money/illusion of wealth and fame didn't work, Trump ran for President. The title of President gives him power and that power gives him access to those with extreme wealth and power. Ordinarily, with the Presidency also comes respect, but it's still Trump.
I honestly think Trump gets a kick out of how some individuals that despise him, and snubbed him in the past, now relent to kissing his ass.

(17,227 posts)And yet, of all of those attributes, the one that will bother Trump the most is the fact that he will no longer have the aura of being rich and successful. That has always been his key motivating factor. Trump's ego needed this to be true. He needed to prove to his dad that he could do it on his own, despite the hundreds of millions of dollars Trump borrowed from him over the years. This obsession led Trump to conduct business the way that they did. To live his life the way that he did. He wanted the appearance of being rich while simultaneously having his people work behind the scenes to lie, cheat, and steal to keep up that appearance. But once he left office in 2020, that facade came crashing down. He was once again a private citizen. Tish James had him in her sights. For the first time in his life, Donald Trump was facing real accountability.

(6,286 posts).... his greatest fear is having to take a shit on a stainless steel toilet under the glare of his 6 ft 6, 290 lb cellmate.
I see several posts that proclaim he will never see a day in prison. Maybe not, but I on the other hand, remain hopeful.
