Will Trump's legal issues eat up most of his campaign cash?

It sounds like he is able to use some campaign cash for legal stuff. Seems like this could be a big deal the last few weeks of the campaign if true.

I've Googled this but get different opinions. Thoughts on this?

Is a lot of money, but presidential campaigns bring in like 10 times that during election years.

…and the media would give him 24 hour coverage. He doesn’t need cash to campaign.

... but if I were a donor, I'd be royally pissed if my hard-earned money were to be taken and used for any candidate's personal expenses. When a candidate needs to pay lawyers to keep him/her out of prison, that is a personal expense not something the political party should have to reimburse.

This would never be allowed in the DNC, so why is the RNC doing it? The donors should revolt.
