Did Biden commit treason? Dissecting Elon Musk's public meltdown JUDD LEGUM AND TESNIM ZEKERIA MAR 6, 2024

On Tuesday, billionaire Elon Musk told his 175 million followers on X that President Biden had committed "treason" by "secretly" flying "320,000 illegal immigrants" from Latin America to US airports.

It is quite a dramatic claim. The only problem is that nearly everything Musk said is a lie.

Musk was responding to information from Collin Rugg, the co-owner of a right-wing news aggregation site called Trending Politics. Rugg's post references a report by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) about a program expanding humanitarian parole for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans. CIS is an anti-immigrant think tank co-founded by eugenicist and racist John Tanton.

I'm quite certain that pushing false narratives like this was a driving factor behind dumping billions into Twitter.

It would have required as many as 30,000 airplanes, or at least 30,000 flights. There are only 28,000 passenger airplanes in the whole world, and while there are at least that many flights per year between US and Latin America, they are conducted by scheduled commercial airlines and not secret flights. ATC would have noticed the "extra" traffic. Or are they part of the plot? And where did those 320,000 people go? That's a lot of people.

So double up potentially pregnant, sexually active females.
But still, with that number of passengers, that's a lot of international flights over a couple years. I think that would be very noticable to even the average American. Because they would be bitching about the pain trying to get flights for business, vacations, or events, let alone getting to their destination, not to mention the affects on Air Transport of mail and their online ordering.

All Air Traffic will be severely impacted. Public and Private. For someone who deals with Transportation, Musk is an idiot to even posit that.

Musk is a despicable MAGAt and didn't need some other MAGAt lies to compel him to lie.

I am so damn fed up, with stupid illegitimate BS being normalized. That scummy literal puffy white marshmallow man can go fuck right off and take that whole scummy "family" with him.

The question shouldn't be, "Did President Biden commit Treason?" It should be, "Should people be allowed to spread lies?" especially people with the reach that Musk and Rugg have. Especially "think tanks" like Center for Immigration Studies. They are lying. Deliberately spreading false information for the purpose of advancing an agenda that if uttered truthfully, might have followers, but FAR FEWER.

When you debunk things by going through the facts, it is a good thing, but ultimately, it is not as useful as people think because the lie has already reached the people intended and for people who are typically apathetic and only half paying attention, the false information gets in and shares space with facts, like there is some kind of legitimate argument.

In the case of immigration, there is a legitimate argument about how many, who, etc... but that is not the argument that racists, right wingers, etc... want to have. They are looking to fan the flames of bigotry to advance a White Supremacist agenda. That is all they are doing. They are not arguing in good faith and the absolutely have to LIE to make their despicable views even halfway palatable to anyone.
