Just watched "Miss Americana" (Taylor Swift)

With the S.O..

Aside from the good natured ribbing from my partner -Taylor offered a kid fan a hug, "orangecrush wants a hug too! Don't you, orangecrush?" I really knew little about her, even that she was from my state.

I highly recommend watching.

She saw what happened to the Dixie Chicks, and was angry, but under heavy pressure to be quiet.

When it came to Marsha Blackburn, she spoke out, taking a huge risk.

And by speaking against Trump put a target on her back.

I was amazed at the depth of what I used to think of as a rather shallow pop singer.

I was quite mistaken.

Catch it if you can, it's worth it.

Trump/Magats fear Taylor Swift because she can lead a movement of young voters to the polling booths.

She must have guts because she surely knows what is coming.

I highly recommend it as well. It’s entertaining and gave me an insight to a thoughtful, intelligent young woman who has turned into a juggernaut in our culture and rightly so.

But I'll look for that. Am warming up to Taylor Swift, the woman, but still not a big fan of her music....

I'm offended by people's snobby knee-jerk assumptions that entertainers and artists are idiots without even bothering to find out about the person. Who do they think they are and why do they think they're better than anyone else? Ugh.
