"Let the voters decide..."

That seems to be the new mantra of the Republicans.

They do not want a jury to decide the criminal charges against Donald Trump. They think the people at large would be better suited to decide his fate on election day.

Should justice take a back seat to the will of the people? That seems at odds with everything our Constitution stands for, and has stood for in the past.

In effect, they are saying that if Trump wins the next election, he is innocent of all the charges against him. Is that the way our justice system should work?

Sorry, I still (most of the time) believe he'll be history by November. And a lot of Repubs will say they never trusted him at all, at all

5. if "let the voters decide" becomes a SCOTUS de facto decision... any inmate in the country......

should immediately declare they are running for president and demand their release from prison on 5th/14th amendment grounds.
