FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - The recently unsealed records pertaining to the divorce of Fulton County Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade do not provide any new evidence of an "improper, clandestine" relationship with his superior, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
Wade was appointed by Willis to lead the investigation into the Georgia election interference case, resulting in the indictment of former President Donald Trump and 18 others. On Jan. 8, co-defendant Michael Roman, a former White House aide, filed a motion alleging a romantic involvement between Willis and Wade, along with benefiting from the investigation. Roman also requested the unsealing of Nathan and Joycelyn Wade's divorce records.
Cobb County Superior Court Judge Henry Thompson ordered the unsealing of these records on Monday. However, the extensive documents, spanning hundreds of pages, make no mention of Willis or any other potential romantic interest.
Nathan and Joycelyn Wade were married on June 21, 1997, and separated on Aug. 15, 2021, with Nathan filing for divorce on Nov. 2, 2021 ...

Lawyers defending former president Donald Trump in the Georgia election interference case on Thursday accused Fulton County District Attorney Fani T. Willis (D) of making racially charged accusations against the defendants that could prejudice a future jury and asked a judge to disqualify her and dismiss the case.
The motion from lawyers Steve Sadow and Jennifer Little, filed in Fulton County Superior Court, comes more than two weeks after Trumps co-defendant Mike Roman alleged in a court filing that Willis appointed Nathan Wade to serve as lead prosecutor in the case and subsequently paid him more than $650,000 in hourly fees while engaging in a romantic relationship with him.
Roman requested that Willis and Wade be disqualified from the case and that all charges against him be dropped. Nearly a week later, Willis offered her only public comments on the controversy to date in a 35-minute speech before the congregation at the Big Bethel AME Church, during which she broadly accused her critics of attacking her and Wade because they are Black. In her remarks at the historically Black church, framed as a talk with God to commemorate the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday, Willis questioned why Wade was targeted and not the two other private attorneys appointed as special prosecutors in the case, who are White. She did not mention Roman or any other defendants by name.
They also wrote that Williss remarks amount to a violation of Georgias rules of professional conduct, which state that the prosecutor in a criminal case shall refrain from making extrajudicial comments that have a substantial likelihood of heightening public condemnation of the accused. They noted that the maximum penalty for such a violation is disbarment ...

(22,037 posts)DA Willis hired Mr. Wade as a special prosecutor, (sorry if I have the technical jurisdictional distinction incorrect). They are on the same side of the legal equation so even if they were married (probably) there wouldnt be a conflict. (I know that wouldnt happen.)
Me. Wade is a lawyer in private practice. He probably bills in the high $100s per hour. Taking this gig is a step backwards for him financially. The idea that he and DA Willis are using this as a financial opportunity is ludicrous! Never mind that there isnt any evidence of malfeasance.
Trumps idiot horde are desperate as they see the walls closing in on the schmuck.
