Does the Democratic Leadership privately wish for Trump to be the opponent in November?

Is there a secret memo somewhere in the DLC HQ's that wants Trump as the Republican candidate?

The reason being that they believe Trump will not only give them the White House, but also control of the House of Representatives and a fair majority in the US Senate?

Whether or not that is the case, many Democrats believe that is exactly what will happen in the next election. The Republicans will not be able to help Trump carry all the baggage he is now gathering. Guilty of rape and 91 other charges waiting to be addressed, do they actually believe he will be able to delay all of them until after the next election? Many Democrats would not be unhappy with a delay.

Because Trump will have an impact on every race in the country down the ballot. It could be a landslide election for the Democrats.

I have not seen such a memo, but I would not be surprised.

It was a Republican year, coming off of two Democratic Presidential wins. Last time one Party won three in a row was 1988.

Way back last year I think, Biden was asked about Donny being his opponent and he said something like he would be the luckiest guy in the world.

but perhaps not “heavily advertised.”

They would much rather he be the Republican nominee for 2024 rather than Haley or even DeSantis, who as we know is now out.

Trump has major baggage, and just ain’t what he used to be in ‘15.
