He's running as a defacto incumbent against three others and he barely got 50%.
The reason that's the highest anyone has gotten is because there are usually way more candidates. In 2016 there were 9, as I read on the twitter. So okay, he came in first in a very conservative state among a small slice of republican voters.
Big wup, as we used to say.

(6,222 posts)makes it seem like it's the second coming. I am so goddamn sick and tired of our so called "press" falling all over themselves to make this POS even relevant. We have a long year ahead of us being beaten to the ground by the press and the lazy network anchors who I despise more every day. Just listening to them this morning made me sick. Imagine if they ever told the truth.

(19,526 posts)unfortunately. This is what we're in for for the election cycle. The reason doesn't really matter. It is what is and we better be ready.

(25,750 posts)when he loses the General Election to Biden - he can continue to drive home the thought that the election was stolen from him again.
He will say - I was so far ahead in the polls for so long - there's no way I could have lost this election unless Biden and the Dems lied, cheated and stole the election from him.
The Deep State did this - he'll say.
His loss in Nov 2024 will be the catalyst for even a bigger insurrection than that of the J6th insurrection.
In his mind - when he loses - he wins. He will not accept the loss because he has his mind set on the fact that he won.

(26,953 posts)Or anyone, for that matter. The idea is to win the state, regardless of the circumstances. No one is going to care a week from now (except DU, which will still be obsessing about it) how he did it.

(56,311 posts)will beat Biden if she wins by republican shill Michael Steele. She lost ground in Iowa by coming in third. Her and the other repug chumps in the race combined didn't equal trump's total.
It's looking good for Joe Biden IMO.
