I wouldn't have nearly the concern I do with the state of our democracy. Sadly, he's way too sane for this collection of weirdo's that make up this party today.

"I am in no way going to enable Donald Trump ever to be president of the US again." I'll give him credit for that - so what's he gonna do? I doubt he'll support Biden.

It's a damn good speech, though.

But he's just shredding not only TFG but the GOPers in Congress for not supporting our allies. This is a damn good speech, I wish he was on our side. It doesn't sound like he's going to endorse any of the other GOPers, so it will be interesting to see what he does next.

Now that he's thrown down his hand and challenged the others to a show of decency and truth, he has some leverage against them. The rest of them re going to want him to shut up, I doubt he will. He's pretty savvy so I'm going to wait and watch for a little while.

After Super Tuesday, everybody will have shown their hand.

If enough GOPers in Congress were as relatively reasonable (yes, relatively is the operative word), Congress might actually get around to doing something positive.

I also remember his time as Governor of NJ and he is an enemy of public schools in my opinion. But he speaks well and makes a case against Cheato very few can, even in our party.

because the leaders of his party suck so bad - not just TFG but the GOPers in Congress. He's trying to save the GOP (personally, I think it's past saving), not leave it or change its policies.

DeSantis may not have dropped out yet, but there is no Hail Mary that will bring him the nomination, so he's just there to take up space. at the debate.

So, Haley gets to play at being "the great Trump alternative" for a while longer, especially if his verbal skills keep deteriorating.

She remains a footnote, unless the wind shifts dramatically.
