Was January 6th the beginning of the Second Civil War?

They thought it would just go away. But three years later, it is still with us. I'm sure it was the argument that Trump made to Kevin McCarthy upon his journey to Mar-a-Lago. Just hang in there for two or three weeks and people will have forgotten about January 6th and will have moved on to another story.

What would a Second Civil War be about? At this stage, we would guess that it would be about preserving the Union once again. But, this time, it is about the fight for democracy over fascism. It seems to have progressed to that point.

We hear the leader of the Insurrectionists talk about Lincoln and the First Civil War. He believes he could have negotiated a settlement without going to war. He doesn't say what he would have done about the slavery issue? Further, he says Lincoln would have been just a passing name in history if he had done the job right.

Whether or not we are at the beginning of another Civil War, we do not know at this time. We only know that it is not going to disappear from history in its present context. Either the Truth or the Big Lie will prevail.

Hopefully, it can be resolved at the ballot box, without a violent war between the supporters of democracy and the supporters of fascism and victimhood.

Not a very good president, but his humanitarian efforts during and after both World Wars are seriously amazing. I knew a Belgian gentleman a few years ago and he ADORED Hoover. Said Hoover was basically the hero of all heroes over there. It's a shame Hoover became president because so few remember all the good he did when he wasn't.

He wouldn’t even have to negotiate, just get out, give a speech and call off his damn flying monkeys. They would listen to him

First, in loon MAGA circles, "civil war" is merely code for "race war." That isn't going to happen. Remember that most of these guys can hardly lift their whale-level girth up the stairs from their mother's basement without stopping to catch their breath. But they love to get wound up and spout off on their computers conveniently located in the basement.

Second, you're being sucked into the "outrage industry." CHANGE THE CHANNEL!!

1954 Supreme Court ruling turned the fighting around.

This third Civil War started in 1916 when Trump made hate mainstream.
