The fantasy being put forth by many that he'd either announce some drastic changes or act like a dictator (or arrest Trump and throw him in prison) are pretty bizarre. It's as though they know nothing about President Biden and expect him to act like Trump.

8. I've seen similar sentiments.

It's funny, in a way. We (rightfully) criticize Trump and the GOP for their authoritarian behavior and actions, then insist - and sometimes demand - that President Biden and other Democrats act in a similar fashion. It's often couched in silly assertions like, "Democrats are too soft/nice/whatever; they need to be tougher."

If it's bad when Trump does it, it isn't any better when we do it. Seems like a simple concept, but it's apparently not.

People want Trump to be treated like any other traitor to our country would be and be put in some hole forever. Because folks who have sold our top secret docs *are* put away long before this point. But Trump is special, so we need to be a dictatorship in order to put him away. ITA. That is a dictatorship versus a country of laws.

And don’t get me started on Biden acting the way Trump does, with his new found powers. I mean, the press asking Biden that isn’t to break through the brainwashing the other side has so they can see what a bad idea immunity for a president is. All of those types of questions are not hedging our bets so the other side might be careful what they wish for because they just might get it. All of it is because we want Biden to be a dictator - only it is just ok for Biden because we agree with him.

Yes, we make believe too, that doesn't mean we all want a dictator! It's laughable to suggest it. and, possibly, some of the MAGA morons on SCOTUS ( although I am sure they have thought of this and, should they decide in favor of Trump they will also narrow the decision so it only applies to Trump and not to whatever Biden might do with such new found power to commit crimes, not that he would ).
