Do Tr**p Loyalists & MAGA's Think Tr**p's Autocratic Governing Won't Affect Them If He Wins?.....

If Tr**p wins back the presidency in 2024 and institutes his autocratic administration - whatever dictates he establishes will not only impact on the Dems - but will impact on all Americans.

Many of the freedoms and benefits we have now as Americans - Tr**p will change.

Those Americans that voted for Tr**p won't be given special dispensation from his policies just because they voted for Tr**P and their lives will suffer as much as those of us that didn't vote for Tr**p.

How is is that Tr**p Loyalists and MAGA's don't understand the effect of that impact on their lives and the lives of their families?

Do they really want to live under a Tr**p autocratic regime?

What am I missing?

Shouldn't we be pointing out to them this impact on their freedoms and lives should Tr**p win?

Back in 2019:

The shutdown on top of the hurricane has caused Ms. Minton to rethink a lot of things."I voted for him, and he's the one who's doing this," she said of Mr. Trump. "I thought he was going to do good things. He's not hurting the people he needs to be hurting."

"Good things" meaning that as president, the defendant needed to be hurting people, people not named Crystal Minton.

[This comment] captures an amazing perspective: some Trump voters expected the Republican to punish some people if elected, but they assumed they'd be spared. Trump would hurt those people, the sentiment went, but not us.

I have never seen that claimed

in fact, from your own link:

A few miles away, another prison employee, Crystal Minton, accompanied her fiancé to a friend's house to help clear the remnants of a metal roof mangled by the hurricane. Ms. Minton, a 38-year-old secretary, said she had obtained permission from the warden to put off her Mississippi duty until early February because she is a single mother caring for disabled parents. Her fiancé plans to take vacation days to look after Ms. Minton's 7-year-old twins once she has to go to work. The shutdown on top of the hurricane has caused Ms. Minton to rethink a lot of things."I voted for him, and he's the one who's doing this," she said of Mr. Trump. In our capitalist system, the wealthy are at the very top of the food chain.

They get every possible benefit from our laws, from our social hierarchy, from our economy.

Why in the world would these oligarchs risk their privileged positions by supporting a mentally unstable dictator-wanna-be?

Don't they know that in an authoritarian system they are at the mercy of the whims of Donald J. Trump?

Do they not know that Trump is jealous of their money, their properties, their happiness? Do they not know what history has taught us about petty despots with expanded powers?

The system, as is, works very well for them. Why in the world do they want to upend the apple cart and destroy the institutions that give them their power?

being "edgy." I also think about the psychology of people who are wealthy solely because they inherited a substantial sum of money or assets. People who often are secretly insecure as to the provenance of the $$ and compensate by styling themselves as
edgy paradigm shattering investors. People who are incurious about the lives of those surviving without material wealth. To top it off, many common folk like to fantasize about being 'those' people which adds to the toxic mindset. There is nothing so disheartening
than to be at a party of wealthy youngsters and to behold their paucity of imagination. Triangle of Sadness indeed.

IMO, this country is running off of the fumes of a more competent (if not equitable) past, and is going to encounter
what is termed a severe correction. No amount of walls, gated communities or private security will protect
such people if things really go belly up. I would rather watch it from afar - but I suppose I'll be made to suffer alongside the goons.

Under a Dictatorship, NO ONE is allowed Gun Ownership! For without the 1st Amendment, there is NO 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and so on down the line.

NO ONE in Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, Poland are allowed private Citizen ownership of guns. Nor do they have the right to Legal Counsel, to Free Speech, freedom of Assembly, freedom of the Press, freedom of political parties, property ownership, etc.

MAGAts who voted for him will find out the hard way that there is no distinction. They too will suffer big time when all that they thought they held dear is gone. They are that STUPID to think they will be spared.

We all know what is happening with respect to Women's Rights and control of their own bodies?
Birth control?
What other books will be banned?
LGBTQ rights?
Voting and voters rights?
.......................... etc. The list would go on and on.

There are countless things that will be rolled back and/or taken away. Those things are going to impact - even on those that voted for Tr**p.

Seems to me a good campaign ad would be a listing of how their lives will be impacted if Tr**p actually is able to achieve a second chance at running things.

Please add to this list in this thread.

A dictator who they believe shares their values and favors their group, that is. Hitler had millions of supporters AFTER he became a dictator. Same with Putin, same in Iran, in Hungary, in Turkey etc.

What Democrats have to do is convince enough of those who are not down with dictators that Trump is planning to become one. There will always be a sizable minority who support the concept of a Strong Man. But the majority of Americans are not predisposed in that direction if the choice is articulated clearly enough.
