OP
Apparently, the GOP's withdrawal from the commission doesn't preclude participation

so there will be no debate.

They want to let tiny ramble regardless of the c question and not let Joe speak.
Anything else, especially hard questions to tiny, are nogos.

1) Can they change their mind?
2) What happens if the Republican Presidential candidate wants to go anyway? Can they?

The CNN article said the party reserved the right to prohibit the nominees participation at a later date.
The withdrawal seems contrived to provide cover for the inevitable complaints that the debates are rigged.

It'll be interesting to hear how things change as we get closer to debate season.

(16,540 posts)8. If that's the case, I'm not so sure Biden should go
Against Trump is one thing, but debating someone the age of Haley, DeSantis, or Christie is entirely different.

(16,540 posts)10. Yeah, he's an easy win for Biden, even at 36
Rama is insane.
