A Donald Trump loyalist came forward for the first time to bash him in Jonathan Karl's new book.
In an interview with MSNBC's Jen Psaki, the ABC News reporter revealed that in his book "Tired of Winning," someone who has previously not come out publicly against Trump dropped a bomb on the former president.
"He lacks any shred of human decency, humility or caring," the former White House official told Karl. "He is morally bankrupt, breathtakingly dishonest, lethally incompetent, and stunningly ignorant of virtually anything related to governing, history, geography, human events or world affairs. He is a traitor and a malignancy in the nation, and represents a clear and present danger to our democracy, and the rule of law."
Karl explained that the person was in the West Wing and worked alongside Trump for more than a year at a "high level." The key title is "official," indicating it wasn't a staffer or aide.

(70,793 posts)as he told STEPANOPOULIS today on his latest book peddling tour, "known" Drumpf for 30 years, and as I say is the wingnut heir to Brit HUME who was the wingnut presence at ABC as the consigliere of the BUSH Family Evil Empire, before he/HUME gathered the guts or resentment over being passed over for Anchor to go to his true home/Fox.
Jon only swings to the "Center" in order to go on the talk show circuit when he's got a book.

(9,059 posts)...the GOP needs to rediscover its soul and get rid of this orange clown.
Judging by this quote, this guy knows Trump pretty well: "He lacks any shred of human decency, humility or caring. He is morally bankrupt, breathtakingly dishonest, lethally incompetent, and stunningly ignorant of virtually anything related to governing, history, geography, human events or world affairs. He is a traitor and a malignancy in the nation, and represents a clear and present danger to our democracy, and the rule of law."
Do tell.

There's too much at stake.

(10,302 posts)It pretty much summarizes what Hillary (and everyone else with any decency, honesty and half a brain) was saying about Trump in 2016. The quote also pretty much explains why Trump's followers voted for him in 2016, 2020 and will do so again in 2024: he is precisely the sort of man they want in charge of this country.

We must stop them before it is too late.

(9,897 posts)I called out Trump as the threat to the Republic he is all the way back in 2015 on that goddamn escalator ride with the paid audience and calling Mexicans rapists. NOTHING has changed about the pile of human feces waiting to be shat out since that day. If anything, he is just worse by %'s every day.
I have stated before and I will reiterate here...there has NEVER been another human being in my life that I have loathed more than 2-scoops. If he dies, I pray its today (literally EVERY morning), secure in the knowledge that it will be sooner than later and that on that glorious occasion I will break out the bottle of bubbly that has been chilled since November 2016. I am getting drunk as hell that night and intend to toast that MFer's demise heartily.

Any individual who served in a high ranking capacity and feels that but won't identify himself is chickenshit, in my view. As it stands it's an utterly worthless quote.

(1,800 posts)This statement in the article doesn't really help narrow it down much; most Trump officials were there more than a year. Of course, then there was Anthony Scaramucci...
I'm wondering if it's one of the Trump officials who flamed out spectacularly like Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Or maybe it's someone with a lower profile like Kirstjen Nielsen (Secretary of DHS).

Anyone who was capable of listening to TFG for 15 seconds knew all that stuff. So no, Karl, this should not salve your conscience nor will it save your soul. Or your career.
