Can Beshear deliver OH and IA to Harris?

(16,867 posts)Harris would not have an Electoral victory.
agree on your assessment of her performance, but we have to work around the entire voting pool. Harris simply could not draw the numbers required, at least as things stand today.
The reasons could be explained by something as simple as the fact that the VP role itself in any administration never really gets any press or attention. Regardless of the reasons, I don't believe she could carry carry enough support to ever pull off a primary victory.

(3,292 posts)I don't know where Kamala will figure in. I like her and think she would be a good President but seems to have negatives that I don't hear verbalized but seem real to many. I think for certain people, including maybe more Dems than we would like to admit, voting for a woman or anyone of color is still a reach they won't make.

A couple of influential right wingers have made positive comments about him as well. Can't remember which ones but they were pretty substantial if I recall correctly.

Michelle Lujan Grisham, Governor of New Mexico. She's a rising superstar and I really like her a lot. She's flying under the radar but won't be for long.

(52,481 posts)Cooper has won every race he has been in, won twice while Trump was carrying NC on the top of the ballot. He beat an incumbent Governor in 2016 again with Trump on the ballot. He isn't Mr. Charisma to be fair but he is a competent adminstrator who wins elections.
