Who will be the Democratic Nominee for the 2026 VA US Senate Election if Warner retires and Youngkin is the

Republican Nominee? What are their chances in defeating Youngkin?
Spanberger or Stoney. Both are going to run for Governor of VA in 2025. Whoever does not win the Democratic nomination for the 2025 VA Gubernatorial Election runs for the US Senate.

"Unlike other state governors, Virginia governors are not allowed to serve consecutive terms. They have been barred from immediate re-election since the adoption of Virginia's second constitution, in 1830. However, a former governor is permitted to run for a second term in a future election."
