Eye on the prize

The war between Israel and Hamas is horrible. It is terrible awful saddening and everything else.

But we cannot allow it to take our eyes off the prize of the 2024 elections. It is being used to divide Americans and more specifically Democrats and the left.

I find myself getting angry at people on the left that are expressing their raw emotions that I don’t agree with and I have to stop myself and remember that there are other items that I cannot get distracted with. Trump in office and more importantly right wing senate and house would/will be disastrous for not just our democracy but for the world.

We can have our feelings on the conflict but how much can we do about it and how much ground are we willing to give on who controls the world’s most powerful government with the most influence in the world? We have to ensure that it stays at least somewhat sane!

I'm disturbed by all the dissention I'm seeing here in the last few weeks. Its understandable with what's happening in the Mid east. However, we do need to focus on defeating the MAGA cult. Its imperative! Lets come together and defeat the monster. Emotions are running high but we have to let our chosen leader, Joe Biden, and his administration resolve the hate overseas. I trust them to do what's best. And will continue to do so when he is reelected.

…we damn well agree on this !

I have strong feelings right now based on personal and family experiences. It’s likely that between now and November 2024, Joe B (I mean Biden, not Borrow) will say, do, make some decisions I don’t agree with. (Come to think of it, that may also be true with Borrow). It’s possible I’ll disagree with some of his positions…deeply. And I may even post about it here.

But I know I can say without reservation that in 2024, he’s my guy. I will NOT be one of these “hold my nose and vote for Joe” voters that wish they had another choice because they disagree with him on this point or that. I will NOT be lured into some wackadoodle third party game because I see one single position I like better than Biden’s.

And if it’s not clear…while I am deeply hurt and disappointed by the reactions of many dems over the past 4 weeks…the only way I’m not voting dem is if I’m looking up at the grass.
