Israeli settlers with the approval of the right wing politicians are acting like the right wing nuts in this country but the victims don't have the protections of the police or military. Sad.

they know that attention is focused elsewhere and are betting that no one cares how many Palestinians they kill.

If they move fast enough, they may be able to finish their land grab under cover of the Gaza bombing and kill every Palestinian in the West Bank.

Note: I am explicitly speaking of the right wing settlers who insist on moving into territory that they are not permitted to take under international law.
