DU formatting just went completely haywire on my tablet

Most of the links for the entire page jammed together in a narrow center column at the top of the screen, overlapping links. Threads not even visible unless I scroll down.

WTF?

And when I previewed just now, there was a line of gold stars all the way across the screen and overlapping my name.



And the smilies are a disastrous jumble, too.

I miss DU3 so much..


EDITING: See reply 9 below. Clearing the history/cache got rid of the formatting problem.

2. I'm posting in GD to find out how many others are affected.

I've never seen DU formatting this messed up, and I did run into the earlier formatting problems when the CSS stylesheet didn't load. This is worse.

3. The Navigation and My Stuff buttons don't work AT ALL with the formatting like this. The Sign Out link works and

I did use it to log out and sign back in, but that didn't help.

4. I'm using my Chromebook now, and DU looks fine. But the formatting on the tablet is still a disaster.

I just switched the tablet from the browser's desktop view to mobile view, too, and that made no difference. And the Navigation and My Stuff links are still completely broken with this formatting problem on the tablet.

I was trying to get to My Stuff's account settings to change the viewing mode in case that helped.

11. Don't know how to do that with my tablet, and when I googled it all I got were instructions for doing a hard reset,

which I do NOT want to do when the problem is DU and not the tablet.

But I finally discovered that logging out, clearing history/cache as I always do before shutting the tablet off, and signing in again (decided to give it one more try) finally got rid of the problem, accomplishing the same thing your suggestion would have accomplished.

6. I just checked my tablet

and all is aligned as it should be.

7. I just used the Chromebook to switch my account settings from Skinner mode to default, and refreshed the

the tablet page, and that made the font larger.

But all those links are still in a column, one link per line (mostly one word per line, with almost all the two-word links/buttons listed on two lines) against the left side of the screen instead of in the center.

Navigation and My Stuff still don't work. They're plain text at the top of the column.

Otoh, the links that were available through those buttons are appearing down the page, on the left side, and they do work.

So I now, with the tablet on General Discussions, have direct links to the Inbox, Jury Blocklist, etc.,

This formatting problem wiped out the Navigation and My Stuff buttons but pasted the links within them at the top of the page in a single column.

8. Exact same thing just happened to me!

Kindle Fire, Silk browser (which is Chrome based).

I have a second browser on my Fire, a Chrome based add free browser, that never before displayed DU correctly, it was as if it couldn't read the DU style sheet so there was no formatting shown. Now, this browser is suddenly displaying DU correctly (except it's not letting me like your post) for the the first time.

While DU is now screwed up on Silk.

9. Try clearing the cache, the history. I just did, after signing out, and the formatting is back to normal

on my Fire tablet.

10. Yep it is a caching issue.

I do wonder if they have a development environment that they are working on it in so that they can test changes and then implement.
