Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI got out of China just in time. Anti-Semitism is on the rise and the CCP is allowing it to happen.
At one point after the Hamas attacks, the hashtag "the 3% Jewish population in the U.S. controls over 70% of American wealth" became one of the top trending topics on heavily censored Weibo.
This sounds like "The Jews won't replace us" crowd here in the US.
They are xenophobic and anti-American under Winnie the Flu.
Since the Hamas attacks, they CCP refuses to condemn the attack and has allowed state media and internet influencers to attack Israel and Jews repeatedly.
My wife's mother got into a hit and run with a drunk driver and got messed up badly, so she is there until December caring for her.
I got out just in time. Anti-Semitism is on the rise.

Rule to understand in China: If it isn't censored, it's government approved. The CCP sanctions this. Winnie the Flu is a racist, xenophobic, homophobic asshole and has turned China into one of the most openly racist nations on the planet. Thanks to the intense Cult of Personality, it will be part of Chinese society for decades.
Here are some comments from Chinese influencers from the articles I posted:
Even when it affects one of their own, they don't care and will throw that person under the bus. SOP in China.
"Impressive divisive tactic," one popular comment wrote. "Is that girl even Chinese?"
Under a different news post about the woman, a comment with over 10,000 likes asked, "If she thinks she's Israeli, this has nothing to do with us. Why even post it on China's internet?"
The comments were at odds with a posting by the Chinese Embassy in Israel, which said, "Noa was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists when attending a peace music festival in southern Israel. She was dragged from Israel to Gaza. She is a daughter, a sister and a friend."

(93,402 posts)Its sad to say, but China is so big and so ancient they used to just absorb interloper tribes, and they didnt have to learn to get along with people who looked and acted differently unless they wanted to. Trade is good taking our women is bad.
Im sorry you are having all this trouble. May you and your wife be safe and well, and end up where you want to be.

When she passes, we're moving to PA to be close to my parents. My father is atoning for all the child abuse by buying us a house there. I guess two massive heart attacks in three years opens eyes.

(12,089 posts)People use race and religion smears to cover up their own failings.
Hence, look in the mirror when falsely accusing others of conspiracies, threats, replacement and so on. Accusing others for your own faults is projection, and is so common that most dont even see it.
Everything TFG smears others with is some failing in himself. Starting with fraud.

Trivia: Florida representative Diaz Balart is Fidel Castro's nephew by his first wife.

7: We get them out of China.

(10,459 posts)That would seem to me to be something to raise a red flag with immigration, or at least make them question her more closely. Is there some reason why she can't stay with you in Thailand until you are able to return? Given the problems the two of you have had in the past I would think you'd try to make the process as straightforward from the INS perspective as possible i.e., show up together as a married couple entering the country.
Good luck!

(38,683 posts)Extreme nationalism and xenophobia are an unfortunately common means of grabbing and holding political power but harmful in the long run to a nation's economic success, and possibly a nation's economic viability.
Nations that do not welcome immigrants will stagnate.
I'm so sorry you had to experience all this first hand. Your story is important.
