Who is your most trusted news source.

I like the Guardian. Not supported by any big money donor billionaires like Musk or Murdoch, just small donors.

Go to theguardian.com and see this article “What are the roots of the Israel-Palestine conflict”

Sorry I can’t post a link now. But a great unbiased look at the history of the conflict going back to the start.

Josh Marshall, Talking Points Memo to Asia Times.

And even then I feel I get duped a significant percentage of the time.

The safest bet for excellent research and straight talk for 20 years plus: Paul Krugman. Imho.

They carry a variety of national programing from various sources plus decent local news.

I also read the WaPo online and the local Columbus Dispatch (fairly useless) but it does cover local events.

Ohio Capital Journal (online) covers the state government better than the Dispatch

Sometimes catch MSNBC programming.

When I first heard of the start of the war 2 weeks ago from MSNBC at midnight I wanted to post the news and The Guardian, once again, was the most legit and objective source at the time.

I can easily see all the news headlines and then read the sources.

I read HuffPost and watch MSNBC sometimes. Yes, The Guardian is also good. I check the Philly Inquirer for local news. For a more left viewpoint I check Common Dreams and Jacobin.

Went 4 years without one.
Was working nights and would get home about 4 AM and watch tv until late morning. After getting rid of it, I go to sleep early and get up early. Totally changed my life. All while working 50 plus hours, I went back to college and got my degree and started a side business.
I still keep it off most of the time and am more productive.

Give me the one-line summary and the source, and I decide what to read.

Hacker News is extremely techie, but big news items, economic, scientific and just plain weird ones show up. I posted two here tonight.
