(54,528 posts)The ones most likely to flip for Jordan (the Scalise votes) are not enough to make him Speaker, even if they all flip.
It's still tight, but it might be enough to encourage him to give up. Of course, knowing Jordan, it might be few enough to organize credible threats to their families and their personal safety, too. Only when Jordan is proved to be unelectable and removes himself from the race can we breathe a sigh of relief. Believe me, this is one evil operative we do NOT want in the Speaker's chair. That he's even this close gives me the shudders.
