This is just the latest in a longline of their wars, it may never end.
No use getting too uptight and wanting the wars to continue.
Better we ask for peace and the wars to stop.

It's been inhabited by members of the genus "homo" for nearly 2 million years.

Notice the date?
This only ends when the violence ends & murder on both sides ends.

(7,290 posts)Were these children doing? I mean, Israeli soldiers just killed them for no reason?
For me,
Human Rights Watch has proven themselves an unreliable source when it comes to anything related to Israel.

(3,234 posts)They hold everyone accountable and they were a BIG get when they endorsed Hillary in 2016. In fact that endorsement was everywhere.
Many innocent Palestinian kids have been murdered by Israeli snipers. It's been happening awhile. You may find this article interesting as it mentions some of the victims & what happened to them [link:https://www.dci-palestine.org/israeli_sniper_kills_14_year_old_palestinian_boy_in_jenin|]
I just want it all to end.
It's truly sad what's happening....

Ill not waste my time on any HRW writings that involve Israel, as they have proven to be heavily biased against Israel.

So they are fine in other conflict areas? Just not Israel because they call out your "team"? Maybe we should ignore everything in Ukraine and Russia? The Balkan war? And many other areas?
This is why comments like this get the roll of the eyes.

(3,234 posts)I mean I'd pretty much expect a humans right org like HRW to be critical of a government that's run by a corrupt fascist far right leader; Netanyahu. Sounds a lot like someone we all know, eh?

(6,525 posts)Even Jerusalem was just a pit stop for trade routes and at times, abandoned. The Jebusites actually developed the area, but the leaders eventually became unpopular. At the same time King David had a problem in Hebron, a good portion of his army were mercenaries and not Hebrew, so there was some conflict. Add that former King Saul's capital was Gibeah and only three miles for Jerusalem, David took advantage of the situation.
Result, more cosmopolitan city where his mercenary forces wouldn't be a problem and a base where he could stamp down on any chance of Saul's house coming up again.
The problem came later when the Temple was built and the main bank for the nation, suddenly it was a major target with all that gold, silver, etc. there. Now, its houses religious sites of three major religions. Every place you step in that city has probably had blood spilled on it.
Hence, why I'm not interested in visiting the pile of rubble, no worries of me getting Jerusalem Syndrome, that's for sure.
