The leadership of Hamas are not in Gaza.

They left Gaza years ago.

Hamas leaders exodus

Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh relocated to Qatar, with his wife and several children, in 2019.

Political leader Fathi Hamad moved to Istanbul a year ago and frequently flies to Beirut, where media reports have shown him in meetings at a five-star hotel.

Deputy leader Khalil al-Hayya also relocated to Türkiye last year, according to news reports. Since then, he has paid only two short visits to Gaza.

Senior member Salah al-Bardawil, spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri and dozens of aides also resettled in Doha, Istanbul or Beirut, according to Hamas media reports and official statements.

Their armed wing, the Izz el-Deen al-Qassam Brigades, is on site of course.

but they have lieutenants, trainers, instructors, soldiers there.

The leaders will be tracked down, no matter how many years.

Didn't work too well for them.

Yeah, ISIS as a entity is still around, but leadership is a dicey job.

from as far away as Qatar, Turkey, and Syria already. Local committees manage grassroots issues in Gaza and the West Bank.

Day-to-day affairs in Gaza are overseen by Yahya Sinwar (reportedly still in Gaza), who previously headed Hamas’s military wing and served time in an Israeli prison for masterminding the killing of two Israelis.

Hamas' leadership is almost certain to exacerbate the already extreme poverty of its residents.

I mean if I was to join the force I'd be so psyched to fight unarmed women and children, even babies. That's why I'd train. NO sense in taking on a competent enemy equally armed, go for the real challenges, babies. Thing is even if you bring these religious freaks to trial and hang them they wont care, they will just babble about God is Great in Islam while being hanged thinking they WON while getting their 47 virgins. Stupid religious pricks.
