@bellingcat
We're aware of a fake BBC video circulating on social media falsely claiming that Bellingcat has verified Ukrainian weapons sales to Hamas. We've reached no such conclusions or made any such claims. We'd like to stress that this is a fabrication and should be treated accordingly.

Facebook used to be the propaganda boogeyman; now it's Twitter. Thanks to Elon, it's no longer trustworthy as a media source. This propaganda uses a Russian (perhaps soon Republican) talking point to attempt to discourage aid to Ukraine. It's slick, made believeable by spoofing trusted sources, and this type of misinformation will grow more common by the day. Be vigilant, especially regarding stories about Ukraine, and now Israel.
If you follow Beau of the Fifth Column, he has an excellent video out about this today:

(86,897 posts)Several who report on Ukraine have said the same. Artur Rehi is covering as much as he can without being censored by utoobe. TRD has also been censored lately. But it is generally known in the region where the goods came from and how they got there.
Way over here on our continent we have to seek out information about this much more so than those who live within easy striking distance.

(25,989 posts)The Russian Dude, he's a russian/Canadian citizen who has a Ukraine war update utoob site. He has some pretty good info, is absolutely on Ukraine's side and donates to the war effort.
You have to watch his updates on the platform, he has redirect turned off, but I watch the videos because of the knowledge he has from having grown up in the aggressor country. utoob has been severely limiting his videos, probably because of russian hack squads and trolls alerting on him. Same has been happening to Artur Rehi lately, he's an Estonian military guy.
