(53,932 posts)on power, but never thought it would be so devastating.
The nation should get rid of him and never let him back in power...just as we should do for trump.

And yes, I do think that he is their version of that orange man.

(7,876 posts)Goes back to the days of 9/11 when Bush and co. were readily warned about an impending incredible attack and yet did little to nothing; 9/11 happens and then they eventually use it as an excuse to invade Iraq, which is something they wanted to do all along.

(5,945 posts)In both cases, I'm left to wonder whether the warnings were ignored out of sheer incompetence, or if a blind eye was turned to the potential attacks in order to galvanize support for their respective regimes.
On edit: I see that in the time it took me to type a reply, a handful of other posters had already voiced the same suspicions.

(31,108 posts)I really dont think that todays Democrats would ever think to start a war to consolidate their power power

(2,235 posts)Bebe seems to have run out of reasonable legal options to save his own ass and is attacking his nation's judicial system. Then, ignores a lot of info that there would be attacks? I don't see Biden ever doing that either, nor anyone else in the DEM party, I agree with you.

(31,108 posts)Joe is motivated by the fact that he wants to do the job, and do it the best he can, for the sake of the world and the United States. I dont think there is any Republican politician who can understand that at this point. They are all so shallow

(35,382 posts)Assuming the anonymous Egyptian intelligence official is correct and telling the truth (whether getting the facts wrong unintentionally or intentionally).
And if what was said was correctly understood.
One source is the AP, but their site is currently silent on the topic, from what I can find.
The other source was Ynet, but the page that is linked to is 404.
If there's a source that claims to actually have heard the intelligence official's utterance, I can't find it. Looks like a story that was put out and then pulled for some reason, but now has a life of its on, hovering above the facts but not actually anchored.
