Democrats are not putting Ukraine ahead of Americans

As far as our foreign policy is concerned, supporting Ukraine with money and arms is in this country's best interest. As FDR said when explaining "lend lease" to stop Hitler prior to our entry into WWII, "America is the arsenal of Democracy".

In reality, the 21 or so Republicans in the House, the captive Speaker, Kevin McCarthy and the handful of Republican Senators are willing to shut down the US government because they put Vladimir Putin and his Quisling ally, Donald Trump ahead of the American people.

I really get frustrated with looking for any excuse for why 40% of American voters are morons.

It's up to each individual to get the correct information. And I don't want to hear about "not enough time". Somebody is watching AGT and the masked singer. I know morons who don't vote in elections but vote for America's Got Talent.

If you study military history, you will often see the battle is won or lost based on where it was fought rather than which army was better. When you accept a Republican framing of an issue, you are letting them pick a battlefield that gives them the advantage.

You need to attack the GOP for favoring Putin's interests ahead of America's interests and the interests of the free world. You basically surrendered the advantageous high ground when you get defensive and give their false framing credibility.

Viet Nam conflict in Asia with "boots on the ground." So far, with a few exceptions of American civilians felt called to the fight, we haven't made that decision this time over Ukraine yet; support-yes, whatever it takes or economically sacrificed without loss of our way of life. RW Putin and his oligarchs with too much money to burn and atomic bombs with which to destroy...I once hardly imagined that so many Americans could become so cult-like they would vote against their and all our best interests for sooooo long by way of willful ignorance and religious zealotry; I don't care if those folks are allowed to ONLY think what they like. But, for sure, watch out what they promise and do. Would that the promise of American opportunity for all been a stronger, more compassionately planned and executed goal by all who would flourish here and in countries rich in resources and reigned in by those already oppressing and withholding those opportunities. Someone needs to inform immigrants that a "better life" depends on unity to fight against that willfull ignorance and the money-addicted ingrates who purposely enjoy the chaos by the sociopathic element of "attention hounds" abusing and subverting democracy and choice.

Do you know why so many ladies stay in abusive relationships...they can sense they've been purposely brainwashed and gaslighted into living in fear of the punishing policies inflicted upon them whether from an abusive government or an abusive man. Those policies, created against those who might otherwise have left abuse and betrayal at any stage of a life that could be healthy once again with forgiveness, charity of compassionate care, and RESPECT! Quite literally, a single abusive misogynist man can steal a woman's core identity just as well as the assets to fight back! An authoritarian government led by a tyrant can do likewise to anyone they find unworthy for any reason.

Women have stood in for men at war, managed family businesses, moved countless times, they've earned educations and have skills that improve the circumstances of their families and others in their community. They've raised kids, for better or worse of their kids' "free-willed" immature choices, and usually felt the pain of their own failures of choices when they were not honest about the traumas they faced in their own lives. Despite missing fathers and aggressions against them, women have, without unaffordable childcare, or other family members who valued the potential that lives in those children, and those who have had hope for the future and adapt their expectations and acceptance of loss in the present. Women's votes can protect and defend a democratic nation over groups that prefer not to govern but to "rule in the narrow vision of their own small perverted world" as well as their selfishly coveted "big world" by charasmatic totalitarianism and embedded abusive persecution inherent in willfull ignorance, religious theocry, and racial national supremacy...Protect your rights, ladies (and gentlemen), to flouish as you choose and adopt policies your sisters (and brothers) can successfully attempt, to choose their own paths in law-abiding "better lives." that politians promise! THE OPPORTUNITY MUST REMAIN AVAILABLE - DO YOU HAVE A PLAN? CHOOSE WISELY; VOTE!

15. All countries offering support to Ukraine are experiencing this issue.

Part of the problem is that aid in terms of armaments is phrased in monetary terms when publicized, and the sums obviously sound colossal. Some forms of aid do involve monetary expense and new manufacture, but many others involve armaments that are somewhat outmoded and would cost money to dispose of if they weren't sent to Ukraine. I believe the US lags the European countries in terms of straight financial aid, but compares more impressively in terms of materiel.

People sometimes have difficulty processing numbers in the billions and often aren't aware of the vast sums routinely involved in national expenditure, not just on defence, but in other major nationwide fields.

It's not helped when inaccuracies in calculating the monetary value occur. They can be walked back, but the headlines endure and suspicions can be exploited.

The most persuasive argument seems to be terming the value of aid as a proportion of defence spending and linking it to the outcomes. A small percentage of the annual budget has wreaked havoc on the Russian forces that would have to be confronted elsewhere if not in Ukraine, if Putin and his cronies' declarations of their ambitions are to be believed.

I DO NOT support the USA footing the majority of the bill.

Tell the EU and NATO that WE will match your $3 in aid with $1 in aid.

If the EU and NATO are so scared of Putin... pay up.
