So I went over to DU 4 and I was enjoying myself immensely in the new format and familiarizing myself with the units and subunits. Lo and behold, I come upon something I havent looked at for years and that is my jury block list.
I cannot remember the last time that I went to this for whatever reason, but I have eight people on the list. I checked each individual and they are essentially no longer here and have not been for many many years.. Some have not posted since 2013. Back in those days we got in some pretty heated arguments but I only rarely took things personally, and I distinctly remember that each of these eight were in my opinion, so repulsive in their attacks upon me, that I never wanted them sitting in judgment of one of my posts or of me for that matter.
Well, theyre all gone and they took their vituperative angers with them. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
I figure then Im coming up on 20 years here in a few months and I have evolved enormously since my early days and I have the members here to thank for that. Looking at DU is the second thing I do every morning after the obituary section of the newspaper. It reminds me of an old Al Lewis (of the Munsters) joke: he said, I wake up every morning
Have a tremendous bowel movement
Then I get out of bed.

(103,776 posts)Usually, when I see DUer's screen names that I've not observed in many years I get sentimental. This is the exception.
