Hayes: Republicans must be 'completely and totally politically defeated' to save reproductive rights

"The three-judge panel held that the Food and Drug Administration failed to take into account safety concerns when it made mifepristone more easily accessible in 2016," Habeshian wrote. "The Department of Justice will seek a Supreme Court review of the decision and is 'committed to defending the FDA's scientific judgment and protecting Americans' access to safe and effective reproductive care,' a spokesperson told Axios in an emailed statement. The FDA said in a statement that it 'does not comment on possible, pending or ongoing litigation.'"

Although "nothing changes for now" because "the effects are stayed because it's gonna go up to the Supreme Court," Hayes asked his audience to ponder what "the six-three Trump Court's gonna do with mifepristone? What do you think they're gonna say? You think they're gonna kick it on standing grounds or are they gonna find some standing for these anti-abortion doctors who incorporated right after Dobbs and filed this in Amarillo where they knew they had another right-wing judge and then it got kicked up to an appellate court full of other right-wing judges who think that there's an aesthetic injury if you use mifepristone 'cause you're robbing the OB/GYN of the joy of looking at your fetus?"

Hayes stressed that "the thing to recognize is that none of these people or the circles of power, they're enmeshed in — James Ho, Clarence Thomas, Ted Cruz, Harlan Crow, the Federalist Society, Donald Trump, the Republican Party — none of them will stop until every abortion is banned everywhere in this country in any form, surgical or medical. They're not gonna stop unless they are completely and totally politically defeated, not once, not twice, but over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. That is the only way to stop them."

They are trying to block everything, not just abortion. They need to be defeated at every turn. #StopRepublicanism #VoteBlueEveryElection
