I don't even know what he was addressing, but it still sounds like a made-up response from someone who's got nothing.

OK, maybe it wasn't made up on the spot. Since there's really not much of a defense, they have to try something.

WTF?!

He needs to get to work complying with the Judge's order. How stupid does he think we are...we see you Lauro, with your gelled hair. Thinking you can "win" in the "court of public opinion."

Who is this joker kidding?

Violating any Amendment, such as the 6th in his client's case, would be violatingthe law. That needs to be brought to Lauro as an example.

Seems like weasling to me, and Lauro's presentation was pretty deep into weasling and trivializing with pejorative adjectives.

But you can easily violate the Constitution without violating the US Code, and can even violate US Code without violating the Constitution (e.g. when the U.S. Code is unconstitutional).

The Constitution of the United States of America. The framework under which all our laws were written. Laws are invalidated if they're deemed unconstitutional. A violation of the Constitution seems like it's a big deal. My head is exploding.

Either you've violated the Constitution or you haven't. Trying to get 'technical' about it when your client took an oath to defend the Constitution is just nonsense. It's insulting to the office of the Presidency and to the entire country that one who formerly held that office has an attorney trying to make this argument just to save his selfish orange ass.

Because his client isn't facing charges of violating of the Constitution, but does face charges of violating specific federal laws.

Sucks to be him. And his client.
