Far-right Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) was looking on the unbelievably sunny side of Donald Trumps arraignment on Thursday. (Watch the video below.)
Im actually really excited over this arraignment because it only ensures that President Trump will be the 47th president of the United States, she said on Newsmax. Because the American people are sick of this. They are sick of the Democrats dirty tricks.
Trump pleaded not guilty to conspiring to defraud voters while knowingly spreading lies that fueled the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection ― a last-ditch effort to remain president after losing the 2020 election.
Trump loyalist Boebert characterized Thursdays court proceedings as a sham.

(11,764 posts)I am sure that Boebert only listens to right wing media and her social media feeds are geared towards what she wants to see and hear. I think that many of us have a bias and preference but the reason people like Boebert and Greene are "optimistic" is because they are, "getting high of their own supply" as it were.
All the people THEY listen to are sick of it because they have been conditioned to be, "sick of it". Most people honestly, aren't really paying close attention. Those who are paying attention and who do not spend their days in the muck of right wing propaganda, understand that these are serious allegations, and that our country has a notorious absence of holding powerful people accountable, even when there is strong suspicion and seeming evidence that they committed crimes.
Trump is the FIRST president EVER, that has actually been indicted criminally for actions taken while president. Nixon might have been the first, but he knew when enough was enough, and he got a "sweetheart" deal and a full pardon from Ford. Reagan could have been the first for Iran-Contra and the whole 1980 election debacle, but again, he got re-elected and then Bush Sr. after him, with the help of Bill Barr covered everyone's tracks. Clinton was Impeached after a several years long investigation that started with a land deal, went to travel records, and then ended up in "lying to Congress" which unfortunately Clinton did when he should have just admitted to the affair and told Congress to pound sand. That farce guaranteed Clinton's election because it was stupid, especially since the Speaker of the House was having his own affair while decrying Clinton's. Bush Jr. and Cheney lied us into a costly 20 year war after a questionable election, in which Gore did the "right thing" in the peaceful transfer of power. None of them were held accountable which lead to Trump, a man so corrupt that NOT to prosecute him would destroy the country even though prosecuting him has a risk of dividing it.
People like Boebert and Greene are ignorant of history as evidenced by Greene not even knowing the significance of the Glass-Steagall Act and consequences of its demise. Both of them ROUTINELY display their ignorance.
