My neighbor, I've always figured he's conservative (I really don't talk to him much but I know he's into Harleys and I know the inlaws he resides with are all pro Trump)...well, I said hi to him today, and noticed he has a hitler mustache.

I have NEVER in my life seen someone with a hitler mustache. This is getting nuts!

Is that the new vogue for pro trump biker types? Wow.

Before Hitler sported it that style of mustache was very common and fashionable. It looked ridiculous on Hitler but many gentlemen of the era had it in various widths. It was known as the Kaiser or toothbrush style. If you look at pictures of early 20th century men, even some here in the US, it was popular.
Today though? Nah. Everybody knows what it means so your neighbor is an asshole.

The victim had been at a party across the street from Alexander John Feaster's home in Garfield County, where he displayed a Nazi flag that had been stolen in the past, reported KFOR-TV.

“It’s never really been a problem, his flags got stolen a couple times when he first put them out but nothing ever came of it," a neighbor said. "This is the first time it’s ever come to violence. He’s been out mowing neighbors' yards and just smiling and waving at everyone.”

But the neighbor said the 44-year-old Feaster, who sported a toothbrush mustache like Adolf Hitler, sometimes wore a full black uniform in public with a red swastika armband, in addition to flying multiple Nazi flags.

The 26-year-old woman had been partying at a neighbor's house early Sunday morning when someone dared her to steal Feaster's flag, and he allegedly opened fire as she fled.

The US Air Force vet and Nazi sympathizer accused of shooting an Oklahoma woman for swiping the swastika flag outside his home has reportedly committed suicide while awaiting trial.

Alexander John Feaster, 46, died this month from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to the Smoking Gun, which cited Tonkawa Police Chief Nicholas Payne.

Feaster, who had served in Iraq and Afghanistan, was found dead Feb. 9 in his mother’s home, the news outlet reported.

He allegedly shot 26-year-old Kyndal McVey in the back outside his home in 2020, claiming she put him in “imminent danger of death or great bodily harm” when she swiped his flag, according to court papers.

8. One horrible person can ruin a style forever.

The toothbrush mustache was a fairly common thing back in the day, it’s not like Hitler invented it or was the only person to ever wear it but he certainly ruined it forever. You can be the nicest, most generous and empathetic person in the world but if you have that mustache, everyone thinks you’re a Nazi.

13. I've only seen one guy with that sort of 'stache

Old Puerto Rican (or other Latino) guy who used to sit around with a bunch of his pals outside a nearby Puerto Rican grocery. The 'stache was white as the toothbrush that gave that style its original name. Contrasting with the guy's dark complexion (especially in summer), I always thought of it as a "reverse Hitler".

I haven't seen him in a couple of years. Not sure if that's due to my changed commute pattern (used to pass by that market every day, not so much now with work-from-home) or if he's passed on.

Here's where the country is, it wouldn't surprise me if when people start talking about the Holocaust and Nazis, that the Right calls them too Woke. We literally have Republicans in public saying that the Jews benefitted from the Holocaust because they learned skills to survive. That's what's happening right now.

And in Florida, any teaching about Civil Rights, the evils of segregation and slavery, and the rights of minorities at all is called "woke" and banned from the classroom. DeSantis and the GOP would make it illegal to criticize Hitler before they'd consider making hate speech illegal.
