(12,708 posts)After that, it is to grift as much taxpayer money to them and their buddies, sell off government assets for pennies on the dollar, and throw away any social safety net they can.
Then, they criminalize poverty. Workhouse shelters set up to rent out homeless/inmates to do farm work, housekeeping or caretaking, and other menial, physical labor. To pay for the roof over their heads, daily rations, and basic upkeep.
The classical Roman era had educated slaves from Greece and Egypt to do their engineering, act as secretaries and accountants, and tutor/educate their children to be 'nobles'. That's what the GOP wants for the middle class and skilled labor.
They don't care about their "base" other than to consolidate power. Then the GOP elite will turn on their own. They won't be able to help themselves, they have to do it the same time they take out their opposition.
