Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) argued at a House Judiciary subcommittee hearing that a tweet from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. about the death of baseball legend Hank Aaron after he received a COVID-19 vaccine was just pointing out facts.
Jordan opened his remarks at the hearing for the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government on Thursday discussing an email the White House sent to Twitter to request Kennedys post be taken down.
He quoted part of Kennedys tweet in which the anti-vaccine activist and now-presidential candidate said Aarons death in January 2021 was part of a wave of suspicious deaths among elderly closely following administration of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Jordan said the subject line of the email sent to Twitter was flagging Hank Aaron misinformation, but he argued that no part of Kennedys tweet was inaccurate.

(6,345 posts)The fact that he got a vaccine two weeks before his death is purely coincidental in my book.
From the article below there didn't seem to be any adverse reaction the shot.

(95,375 posts)That Mr Aaron was vaccinated, and that soon thereafter he died of a heart attack: these are facts.
That this is 'part of a suspicious wave of deaths among vaccinated elderly' is mere begging the question. It assumes the validity of a hypothesis, that the vaccine causes deaths among the elderly, which is yet to be demonstrated, and it offers the conclusion that post-vaccine deaths among the elderly are caused by the vaccine as proof of the premise that vaccination causes death aong elderly persons.
The hypothesis we are begged to grant a priori is offered in ignorance of Mr. Aaron's medical history, and in ignorance of actuarial statistics concerning sudden death among the elderly. To elevate it to a theory, one would have to demonstrate that, out of the set of all elderly persons vaccinated, the number who died within a month of the injection was in excess of the number of elderly persons who could be relied on to die over a month's time. It would be necessary to slice by medical condition, such as, is the rate of death among elderly cardiac patients higher than that of all elderly cardiac patients.
And even then, the theory that these deaths owe to vaccination would need validation by identification of what common factors may have been among the dead besides vaccination, and by some observable and demonstrable means by which the vaccine caused the deaths the theory attributes to it.
