of trollery was an inability to manage the fundamentals of English spelling. We used to pile on with comments like Spel-Chekr is yore frend and other unkind things. Periodically the risible photo of a guy with a mullet and protest sign saying Get a Brain Morans still gets posted.
However, I date the beginning of our surrender to the widespread adoption of texting from cell phones. Tiny screen, even tinier keyboard area, and unreliable weaponized spell-correction programs all mitigated against anyones ability to be consistent.
It isnt worth more than a sigh any more.

Judgment is considered a "free variation" word, and the use of either judgment or judgement (with an e) is considered acceptable.[4] This variation arises depending on the country and the use of the word in a legal or non-legal context. British, Australian, New Zealand, American, and Canadian English generally use judgment when referring to a court's formal ruling.[5][6] Judgement is commonly used in the United Kingdom when referring to a non-legal decision.[7] Translations from non-English texts demonstrate varied spelling of the word. For instance, the English translation of France's Code of Civil Procedure uses "judgement" throughout.[8]

(3,607 posts)I hadn't really thought of the contradiction of the effort to save the lives of a few wealthy white people. My shame.
