It eats away at the very fabric of space and time.

Defining 'woke' would just make him look like the empty carboard of a human shell he really is.
'Woke' simply means that you can think for yourself, and are aware of the possible implications of your thinking and actions.
As well as that of others.

Rather than cardboard, which is a very good description, my perception is that of a dry, faded corn husk that once served as the wrapper for a tamale. I would have gone with husk but cardboard works quite well.
Reminds me of a protest I might have "helped" with once upon a time. There was a protest over land development in a pristine area and when it was getting fired up some interesting "chill" tactics were employed. One was to assemble a small crowd of life size cardboard people in and around the machinery so that when the crew arrived at first light, they would be a bit spooked for a few minutes, maybe the rest of the day.

Might be useful to watch this dreadful person in an attempt to understand the appeal. He's advertising his vicious potential to the red-in-tooth-and-claw with some establishment smashing and persecution of target groups, and I notice he looks like he could be a strongman leader. Without the white boots, of course, or being on the same stage as tRump.
I think the MAGAs will elect whoever seems their best/only chance to smash "socialism/wokism/liberalism/Democrats," and also that they can be convinced of anything they want to believe.. So until they settle on their best chance and it isn't DeSantis, he's in this. And he obviously knows it.
