From what we're hearing, the Kaos Kaukus will not be very happy.
Who will call for his removal?
Can his speakership be saved?
If not, who replaces him?
It would not shock me if it isn't even a GQPer.

(68,586 posts)are Kamikzi types in the GOP and they will continue to make demands that we can't give them...Consider if we give in to their demands, we are likely to have more demands as they shut down the government in a few months.
And Democrats are holding the line in the House and the Senate. After the debacle in Obama's term, they know better than to trust the GOP. I doubt the GOP will vote for any deal that McCarthy comes up with; they are going scorched earth: all or nothing. The 'hostage' will be shot metaphorically. They don't give a damn about this country and haven't in years. I believe Biden gets this and does have a plan-most likely the 14th.

(82,849 posts)If he doesn't know that already, the Squeaker is about to be reminded. Curiously it may be up to Rep. Greene to be the bridge between the extremist and slightly less extremist factions. She doesn't want her new boyfriend to look impotent in front of everybody.

(23,295 posts)he will be gone. I believe that will make his time as speaker the shortest in history.

(10,303 posts)Maybe she can help speed up his departure. Id rather see a Speaker Jeffries please. But I know it's wishful thinking...

(1,783 posts)...with all of the conditions placed on his position as Speaker. And how many rounds of voting were needed to elect him in the first place? Fifteen?! That's not exactly a ringing endorsement.

(9,814 posts)No matter what "deal" he works or doesn't work, it's NEVER ENOUGH for the crazies, who basically want to undo the entire Biden-Harris agenda with this one POS maneuver.
Say hello to Speaker Hakeem Jeffries.
BTW, the last deal that Kevin managed was to swap his necktie with doggie.

(23,295 posts)That didn't take long.

(9,814 posts)You don't make deals with such people.
Kevin gets the "I'm the dumbest wheeler-dealer on the planet" award.
In fact (you heard it here first!) If Joe Biden made or makes a "deal" with Kevin to keep his phoney-baloney position, who's going to complain if he throws Kevin under the bus?
Not saying that he would.
The crazies (and the MSM) They can't push the volume over 100%, so no loss there.
The Democrats? They'll be crying tears of joy in their beers.
The "middle of the road" republicans? BOTH OF THEM?
