Are you prepared to engage with Trump voters? You're going to have to...

Our holding the Senate depends on re-electing Jon Tester (MT) and Sherrod Brown (OH). There is no data suggesting that either State will be in play for the Presidential Election in 2024. And no, there aren't enough hidden Democrats in either State to overcome the Republican edge. Therefore, the path to victory will rely on voters splitting their vote Trump (or Desantis) / Tester (or Brown), just like they split their votes with the Republican Governors in 2018. Publicly calling them racist Bible thumpers won't be a good strategy.

Charming. I’ll organize a meet’n’greet for our newfound friends. Think they’ll like finger sandwiches?

How about: skip the sandwiches and talk to them about issues we can find common ground on?

because according to Republicans:
inflation and the cost of living is all Biden's fault,
any health care solution is socialism,
gun safety means you just wanna take their guns,
and crime is only committed by illegal immigrants and black people

It's like you think you're dealing with rational people.
I was at the CVS recently in some MAGA hat wearing lady was ranting about Hillary Clinton being a murderer.
So good luck with that.

I think the solution is continual voter registration drives and get out the vote efforts.
A bigger pool of voters is the only way we can out vote these idiots

let's never lose sight of the fact that there are enough non-voters to flip nearly any state.

We won for Biden because a large enough share of Trump voters grew tired of him. We won the Senate races because Trump told Republicans not to trust the voting system.

They won in 2018 when Democrats did terribly in the Senate so I'm not too worried about 2024.

If so, what issues?

Abortion/birth control?
Church/state issues?
LGBT issues?
Race issues?

What common ground is there?
Economy? They don’t care…just own the libs.
Foreign policy? Let Putin have it all.
Ecology? Burn till we die, baby!
The border? Machine gun towers every 50 ft.

There is no ‘engagement’ when all one side wants is hate.
