7wo7rees has passed away
She was my wife of 20 years. She was a muckraker and finger-pointer, a community first activist.
She and I found DU from Bartcop just after 9/11 when we all turned to the internet to find answers. She clutched it deep in her bosom and befriended many of you. DU was her first and last stop online everyday.
She was found not breathing this weekend after a wellness check by a mutual friend. Her alcohol addiction consumed her. No attempts to snuff the daily rituals to beat back demons bigger than the both of us would prevail. She was 65.
She posted and was tombstoned here as Anarchy1999 and Stands With A Fist and a few others. I am confident she was reading DU on her last day.
I love her and I miss her and I know she has found comfort, finally. She really loved you guys. Please remember well 7wo7rees.

As for her alcohol addiction, I am especially sorry, speaking as a member of AA since 2008. She will be truly missed here.
We interacted occasionally and I'll miss her voice on DU. 
We will remember her well.
She was one of my favorite DUers. I always have her posts a recommendation when I saw them.

It didn't work out due to medical issues on my end, plus scheduling difficulties added on top of it. She was a gentle, yet feisty soul. I hope she has found the peace she was looking for.

I've lost a couple of friends to alcohol addiction. Both bright, creative people who should have lived much longer. But it can be as deadly an addiction as any other.
Like you, I believe she has found comfort, and healing.
I am deeply saddened to see this post, and I extend my sincere condolences to you and all who love her. I will miss her more than I can express. There are only a handful of DUers (now) with whom I feel a true connection, and she was one. What a loss for us all though, like you, I'm relieved for her.
I'm glad you left the link. Way too sad, she will be missed.
I'm sure she and Bartcop are having a huge meet-up in the next life right now. (I found DU through him, as well.)
