Apropos of another thread I feel I should share my online go to source for Covid information - The Osterholm Update.
Osterholm tried to get a second bivalent vaccine when it wasn't permitted. Then he caught Covid a couple of months ago. He advocates for taking the second bivalent and wishes he got it before his infection. Now he's got some long covid symptoms.

I am so glad he is planning to continue the podcast.
Nice to meet you as another member of his "podcast family."

(39,332 posts)I wish my doctor would give me a prescription. Don't want to be trying to get one if sick. About to travel and flights are nerve wracking.

(11,662 posts)I had symptoms (sore throat and slight fever) and tested positive on two different rapid home tests. I reported all this in a phone call to my clinic and the doctor called in the prescription. I am 72 so that was enough of a risk factor. A friend picked it up for me. I had none of the reported side effects. I isolated for a week after the symptoms stopped.
