"SNIP.......
CNNs town hall with Donald Trump beat the cable news competition, as expected, with an average of 3.12 million viewers, Deadline reports.
Fox News averaged 1.41 million viewers in the 8 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. ET time frame, while MSNBC posted 1.37 million.
Brian Stelter: The event outrated Fox and MSNBC, as expected, but these are not 2015/16 level numbers for Trump not even close.

Excellent news that fewer people wanted to watch Trump than in 2016.

(51,674 posts)They found out damn fast that the "new" tRump is even worse than the "old" tRump, if that is even possible. It is like people turning on the news to watch a train wreck. I think this was an actual wake-up call for Americans who thought he was out of the picture. If anything, this boosted Biden's rating. Just looking at it from a psycho perspective, people can clearly see that he is even more insane than before. People are disgusted, angry and tired of this shit for 7 years! Current tRump is even more psycho than former tRump. The average American who turned on the shit show last night saw verification that this lunatic is even worse than they imagined. This CNN BS did not help either the fucking moron or the former "news" network. CNN is officially an entertainment station, not a new station, just like what Licht wanted...another Fux. Licht and Murdoch sleep in the same bed.

Here are the ratings:

CNN was expecting a ratings bonanza after the E. Jean Carroll verdict, but instead, Trump drew fewer viewers than the last CNN town hall that he did in March 2016 (3.2 million), and it was nearly eight times fewer viewers than the 2015 Republican primary debate that CNN hosted (23 million).
Trump isnt a huge ratings draw. CNN could have gone out and hired Tucker Carlson and pulled the same or better numbers than they got with Trump......
The fact that Trump didnt draw an audience means that the ratings magic is long gone. Trump fatigue is real, and if the CNN town hall was a high water mark for his return to mainstream media, it is a bad sign for the Republican hopes of winning back the White House in 2024.
